1984 by George Orwell

1984 by George Orwell

1984 is a dark and timeless classic novel written by George Orwell.  But it is an important and powerful novel also. It is included in the widely read novel in 2020. George Orwell was an essayist, British novelist, critic, and journalist. The work of Orwell is a reminder of the dangers of totalitarianism and his novel shows the importance of individual freedom. This story is about Winston Smith who was against totalitarianism and fell in love with a girl named Julia.

They joined the Brotherhood, and they spoke against totalitarianism when they joined a secret party that was also against the government system.  Soon both Julia and Winston were arrested and then they accepted the party’s rule. Winston betrayed the Julia. The thing I liked in this novel is the characters of Winston and Julia. They tried to speak against the government system. I recommend the 1984 novel to everyone who enjoys dystopian fiction,  politics, and social commentary.
